I, like many others in my situation, have recently been thinking about exams and ENTERs more than usual, recently. I keep wondering what kind of scores I'll get, what kind of ENTER will they result in and how this will impact on my tertiary education.
I am in the fortunate position of being pretty sure I will get the marks and ENTER I need to do what I want next year (85 clearly in, pass in physics and chemistry and 25 in methods), vut still I am nervous about the upcoming exams.
We have been constantly told that focusing on our exam scores is an unhealthy attitude, but If you want to get an idea for what you're in for, I have found a way to jump the gun (that sentence was very similar to my title eh?).
On the topic of ENTERs and such, what do you intend on doing next year when all this madness is over?
P.S. If Rory is going to comment on this, he should know that it is not a perfect opportunity to tell us about the merits the ACT high school system. If he does then I would like to remind him that everything else good is in Victoria.

Yes, my new diet does that too.

Don't count on it...especially when you spell 'but' with a 'V' instead of a 'B'.
good thing the exams aren't on computers or I would certainly fail.
In reality I'm pretty sure you can only lose 1 mark for spelling in my 1 exam that marks spelling
Yes, it would be hard to write an exam on the sloping panel of a monitor.
Do what I do: Do a post on abortion or euthanasia or something that is controversial and you believe in. Please!
Yeah i have that calculator. It's still useless because your still just predicting what you'll get. As for the Victorian comment, i believe the university of NSW is one of the best universities in Australia.
Sounds like someone's begging for some interstate debate :)
You asked for it
1. The Australian National University has the least students and the highest research budget in Australia
It is the highest rated university in Australia
Australian University Ratings
Article in SMH
Canberra, with a modest population of 300,000, is home to four universities:
1. Australian National University
2. Australian Catholic University
3. Australian Defence Force Academy
4. University of Canberra
ADFA has the lowest teacher-student ratio of any University in the country, and whilst technically run by UNSW, it's academics and lecturers attracted from around the world to teach at ADFA (for a healthy salary offered by Defence ;))
..you asked.
Yes, but you'd have to LIVE in CANBERRA with all the bureaucrats!!!!! *faints at the thought*
Australian Catholic University? Hmmm... I think I'd rather go to the 'Mildura University'.
No papal people; men in robes with acorns attached to their heads thanks...
Rory, I seem to remember explicitly NOT asking for it.
In Canberra you also have to deal with the lack of anything interesting except museums (and possibly discounted Krispy Kream doughnuts).
I consider the ability of Melbourne Uni to attract its academic success without large defence grants to be admirable.
Also, to go to the DFA you have to learn about defence, I can only think of one aspect of defence I'm interested in and I doubt the government is interested in putting particle beams in space any time soon.
Reuben, stop saying that, it's not funny to other people after 6 times.
Well I was just trying to draw parallels between your exiguous, dry humour and my foamy, wet humour.
My humour is not exiguous. It is plentiful. Almost everything I say it a joke. Just because it only works on me...
You're about as funny as Tomato paste.
Damn, you are so witty Oskar.
Reuben, I doubt everyone itches for confrontation every step of the way.
